Data Protection Declaration and Google Analytics
Thank you for visiting our website. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We would like to explain in detail how we handle this information. Needless to say, all the statutory requirements of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), of the Telemedia Act (TMG) and other data protection legislation are complied with.
Data collection and processing
In general you do not need to enter personal data to use our website. All we save are access data without personal reference, such as the name of your Internet Service Provider, the web page from which you visited us, the name of the requested files and the request date. These data are evaluated solely to improve our offering and cannot be traced to you personally.
Personal data, on the other hand, are only collected, if you voluntarily supply them. This may be, for example, while ordering goods, opening a customer account or registering for our newsletter.
Use and disclosure of personal data
If you order a service or goods from us, your personal data will be used without your specific consent only in so far as this is necessary for rendering the service or carrying out the contract. This includes in particular passing your data on to transport companies, credit companies or other service companies involved for rendering the service or carrying out the contract. Once the contract has been completed, your data will be blocked from further use and deleted after the tax- and commercial-law retention periods expire, unless you have expressly consented to their being put to further use.
If you have subscribed for our newsletter under your e-mail address, this will be used for our in-house advertising until you cancel the newsletter. The newsletter can be cancelled at any time.
We use “cookies” on various web pages to make our internet offering more appealing and enable certain functions to be used. Cookies are small text files stored locally on your computer. When you close your browser session, most of the cookies we use are deleted from your hard drive (“session cookies”).
“Permanent cookies”, on the other hand, remain stored on your computer and enable us to recognise you the next time you visit our website. Our partner companies are not permitted to collect, process or use personal data by means of cookies via our website.
You can prevent cookies being stored on your computer by making the appropriate browser settings; however, this may limit the ranges of functions available.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service offered by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,“ text files which are saved on your computer and which allow analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie relating to your use of this website (including your IP address) are transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website in order to generate reports on website activity for the website operators and in order to provide further services in connection with website use and Internet use. Google will also pass on this information to third parties where this is required by law or where third parties are involved in the processing of this information for Google. On no account will Google establish any connection between your IP address and other data held by Google.
You can prevent the installation of cookies by deactivating the function in your browser software; however, we do point out that if you deactivate the cookies, you may not be able to access the full range of functions on this website. By using this website, you are agreeing to the processing of your data by Google as described above and for the purposes specified.
Permission to collect and store data can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. In view of the discussion on the use of analytical tools with complete IP addresses, we would like to stress that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” so that IP addresses are only processed in abbreviated form, which prevents them from being directly linked to individual persons.
Right to information
Under the German Federal Data Protection Act you have a right to free information your stored data and, under certain conditions, a right to these data being corrected, blocked or deleted.
